Industrial Software & Developer Tools

Software for the shop floor. Tools for the desktop.

I’m Nate Marshall. I build manufacturing software connecting shop-floor machines (OPC UA, MQTT, MES) to operational data pipelines. Outside the plant, I build developer tools like Plantwire and craft theme-matched desktop wallpapers at Omarchy Studio.

Background & Practice

Where manufacturing meets modern software

I’m Nate, a software developer focused on how software helps people understand, monitor, and improve manufacturing operations. Modern plants produce vast volumes of telemetry, but bridging raw machine protocols with intuitive, reliable web systems is where the real value is unlocked.

My work centers on manufacturing execution systems (MES), shop-floor data architecture, and connecting OT hardware (OPC UA, MQTT, PLCs) with web applications. I’m also interested in where AI and intelligent clustering can help engineers make quicker sense of industrial operations.

Outside of factory systems, I enjoy building personal productivity software, curating terminal and desktop environments, and sharing creative side projects like the Omarchy wallpaper collection.
